JASON ROBINS | Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder
Jason Robins is Chief Executive Officer of DraftKings. Robins co-founded DraftKings in 2012 and oversees the company’s strategy and operations, while also driving funding and partnerships.
Robins has built a reputation for expanding DraftKings’ reach across numerous platforms through wide-ranging, forward-thinking partnerships. Under his leadership, DraftKings became the first DFS company to sign a league partnership, with Major League Baseball in 2013. Jason has lead efforts at DraftKings to work with policy makers and regulators to pass smart legislation. As of 2018, DraftKings has passed 19 bills.
Robins’ work has been recognized by the media and his peers, both nationally and in Boston. Recognition includes: Fortune’s 2015 “40 Under 40” list of the most influential people in business, appearing on that issue’s cover, Sports Business Journal’s “40 Under 40,” Boston Business Journal’s “Power 50: Game Changers,” and “40 Under 40,” among others.
Robins attended Duke University, where he received his degree in Economics and Computer Science. He resides with his wife and sons in the Boston area.
PAUL LIBERMAN | Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder
Paul Liberman is Chief Operations Officer of DraftKings. Liberman co-founded DraftKings in 2012 and oversees the company’s product development while leading efforts in maintaining the company’s current product set. He has acted as both CTO and CMO before moving into his current position as COO.
Liberman’s data-driven mindset has been instrumental in catapulting DraftKings from a small Boston start-up to a global sports-tech entertainment enterprise. Under his leadership, Paul’s team of over 150 people has developed award-winning, stand-alone apps and products including DraftKings’ DK Live and Leagues, while scaling the DraftKings platform. Under Liberman’s guidance, DraftKings was the first fantasy provider to roll out a mobile app. Liberman also developed DraftKings’ back-end system so the company can continuously roll out new types of games and variants of each sport based on demand such as Arcade Mode for MLB and Pick ‘Em for NFL, NHL, NBA and Soccer.
Among his recent honors, Liberman was named to Boston Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” list of the most influential people in Boston.
Liberman attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute where he received his degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He lives with his wife and twin sons in the Boston area.
MATT KALISH | Chief Revenue Officer and Co-Founder
Matt Kalish is Chief Revenue Officer of DraftKings. Kalish co-founded DraftKings in 2012 and oversees all of DraftKings’ customer relationships and treatments, as well as the creation and execution of all aspects of the contests, which are offered across the broadest variety of sports in daily fantasy sports.
Kalish, a lifelong fan of real-time fantasy and strategy games, combined his experience in corporate analytics and e-commerce to become the “game master” of DraftKings. As Chief Revenue Officer, Kalish helps drive the company’s strategies forward across game design and development, game analytics and game operations, revenue and retention and he also focuses on DraftKings’ customer relationships and treatments.
Kalish has led his team to go beyond the industry standards by finding ways to improve DraftKings’ customers’ game experience by introducing more sports and ways to play, making DraftKings the most comprehensive sports-tech product. Kalish has also led the charge in DraftKings’ launch of a number of different game variants and contests. Kalish also developed new contest rules based on customer feedback alone by introducing new rubrics such as Multi-Entry Limit, Head to Head Player Blocking and High-Volume Player Entry Fee Restrictions. Moreover, Matt developed and oversees DraftKings’ consumer protections and Game Integrity and Ethics team, ensuring the company sets the highest of standards and is continuously optimizing the protections in place and operates in the best interest of its customers and community.
Kalish received his MBA from Boston College and holds degrees in Economics and Computer Science from Columbia University. He lives in the Boston area and has two daughters.
TIM DENT | Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer
Tim Dent is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at DraftKings. Dent was an early investor in the company and an advisor before joining DraftKings full-time in 2013. In these roles, Dent oversees finance, compliance, licensing and financial operations.
A New England native, Dent held multiple executive leadership roles at Cambridge Interactive Development Corp., a Boston-based software technology company that was the platform behind one of the top online games brands in Europe. During his tenure at CIDC, he led many efforts in all of stages of the company’s lifecycle from startup, to rapid revenue growth and market expansion, and its transition from an unregulated to regulated operating environment.
Dent holds a degree in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and is a licensed Public Accountant. Dent lives in Boston with his wife and two daughters.
R. STANTON DODGE | Chief Legal Officer
R. Stanton Dodge joined DraftKings as Chief Legal Officer in November 2017. In this position, Dodge oversees DraftKings’ legal, government affairs and communications teams, leading DraftKings’ future growth in passing smart legislation and is a key figure in positioning DraftKings to enter new markets and seize new business opportunities.
Prior to DraftKings, Dodge worked at DISH Network for more than 20 years in positions of increasing responsibility in the legal department, most recently as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of DISH, responsible for all legal and government affairs, and corporate communications.
Dodge received his degree in Accounting from the University of Vermont, and his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School.
EZRA KUCHARZ | Chief Business Officer
Ezra Kucharz joined DraftKings as Chief Business Officer in October 2017. In this role, Kucharz is responsible for expanding DraftKings’ business strategy, ad sales and digital media, further solidifying the company’s position at the intersection of sports, tech and media while advancing its footprint in the content space. Additionally, Kucharz’s portfolio includes the build-out of the business and corporate development functions by identifying opportunities for strategic ventures and acquisitions.
Prior to DraftKings, Kucharz served as president of CBS Local Digital Media and special advisor to CBS CEO, Leslie Moonves. In this role, Kucharz oversaw online and mobile business across CBS Radio’s 115 stations nationwide, and more than two dozen CBS Television stations. During his tenure, Kucharz’s leadership elevated CBS Local to the number one digital organization in broadcast TV and radio. Kucharz has also held several senior-level positions at NBC Universal, founded one of the first online digital sports media companies, Total Sports, and worked for NASA in their Space Shuttle and Space Station Medical Operations divisions after serving as an Army Officer assigned to the Armor Branch.
Kucharz holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University, a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from University of Houston and a Master’s Degree in Medical Informatics from Duke University.
