Chief Executive Officer
Jason Robins is Chief Executive Officer of DraftKings, a leader in the Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) industry and at the forefront of its astronomical growth. Robins co-founded DraftKings in 2012 and oversees all of the company’s strategy and operations, while also driving funding and partnerships.
Robins has quickly built a reputation for expanding DraftKings’ reach across numerous platforms through wide-ranging, forward-thinking partnerships. Under his leadership, DraftKings became the first DFS company to sign a league partnership, with Major League Baseball (MLB) in 2013. Since then, the company has signed four additional league-wide partnerships, including the National Hockey League (NHL), NASCAR, MLS and UFC. DraftKings is also the exclusive partner of 12 National Football League (NFL) teams, seven National Basketball League (NBA) teams, 27 MLB teams and seven NHL teams.
With a keen eye for opportunity, Robins led his company to partner with the 2015 Belmont Stakes when the world watched as American Pharoah won the first Triple Crown in 37 years. He has also spearheaded DraftKings’ partnerships with major media outlets, including ESPN, FOX Sports and Bleacher Report; marquee facilities like Madison Square Garden, STAPLES Center, AT&T Stadium and Gillette Stadium; and charitable events with golf icon Tiger Woods and NBA Champion Shane Battier.
Robins’ work has been recognized by the media and his peers, both nationally and locally in the Boston region. Among his recent accolades, he was named to Fortune’s 2015 “40 Under 40” list of the most influential people in business in September 2015, appearing on that issue’s cover. Additional honors in 2015 include being named to Sports Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” list and receiving the Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award for New England. Under his leadership, DraftKings has been named the Best Fantasy Sports Provider by iGaming North America (2015) and is a two-time winner of Bostinno’s 50 On Fire Award (2014, 2015).
Robins attended Duke University, where he received his degree in Economics and Computer Science. He resides with his wife and son in the Boston area.
Chief Operating Officer
Paul Liberman is co-founder and COO of DraftKings, a leading provider of daily fantasy sports. Together with Matthew Kalish and Jason Robins, Paul founded DraftKings in 2011 and built the company from a small operation working of out Paul’s spare bedroom to one of the most popular DFS sites in the country, with over 6 million registered users. Paul has served as both CTO and CMO of DraftKings before assuming his current position guiding the company’s operations and growth.
Before founding DraftKings, Paul was a senior manager of strategy and analytics at Vistaprint, where he held a number of roles in website analytics. Paul holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
In his free time Paul enjoys cycling and completed the Pan-Mass Challenge, a cycling event across the state of Massachusetts that raises money for cancer research. Paul’s spare bedroom, and DraftKings old headquarters, is now occupied by Paul’s twins.
Chief Revenue Officer
Matt Kalish is Chief Revenue Officer and co-founder of DraftKings, a leading Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) destination that has become the fastest-growing company in the industry since its launch in 2012. Kalish oversees DraftKings’ customer relationships and treatments, as well as the creation and execution of all aspects of the contests, which are offered across the broadest variety of sports in DFS
Kalish, a lifelong fan of real-time fantasy and strategy games, combined his experience in corporate analytics and e-commerce to become the “game master” of DraftKings. In a short span, he has led his team to go beyond the industry standards of football, basketball, and baseball, breaking new ground in NASCAR, golf and mixed martial arts DFS. Under Kalish’s leadership, the DraftKings Millionaire Maker golf contests have produced three consecutive sellouts during the 2015 season and DraftKings has become the favorite DFS site among daily players, receiving the highest Net Promoter Score at 21 in a survey conducted by Eilers Research (July 2015).
Prior to starting DraftKings, Kalish worked in business analytics at Capital One – where he met DraftKings Chief Executive Officer and co-founder Jason Robins. While working in CRM and marketing at Vistaprint, he and Robins met the third co-founder and DraftKings Chief Operating Officer Paul Liberman. Kalish also held positions at Microsoft and Fidelity Investments.
Kalish received his MBA from Boston College and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and computer science from Columbia University. He resides with his family in the Boston area.
Chief Financial Officer & Chief Compliance Officer
Tim Dent is the Chief Financial Officer and Compliance Officer of DraftKings, where he oversees finance, legal & legislative affairs, compliance & licensing and financial operations. Tim was an early investor in the company and an advisor before joining full-time in 2013. He currently oversees DraftKings’ work to provide the most transparent and fair fantasy contests available and lead the industry in safe, responsible play.
Prior to joining DraftKings, Tim held multiple executive leadership roles at Cambridge Interactive Development Corp., a Boston based software technology company that was the platform behind one of the top online games brands in Europe. During his tenure at CIDC, Tim led many efforts in all of stages of the company’s lifecycle from start up, to rapid revenue growth and market expansion, and its transition from unregulated to regulated operating environment.
Tim holds a degree in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and is a licensed public accountant. Tim lives in Boston with his wife and 2 daughters.
Global Chief Marketing Officer
Janet Holian, DraftKings’ Global Chief Marketing Officer, is a veteran marketing executive and corporate leader. She currently oversees DraftKings’ worldwide revenue, including Daily Fantasy Sports games, advertising, sponsorships, brand licensing and international expansion. She also leads creative, game operations, events, new media, marketing analytics and corporate communications.
Ms. Holian joined DraftKings’ executive team after serving as a strategic advisor to the company and its leaders since the company’s inception. Prior to joining DraftKings, Ms. Holian was CEO of Gemvara, a leading online retailer of custom-made fine jewelry.
Previously, Ms. Holian was a core member of the Vistaprint executive team for 11 years, joining the company prior to public launch and leaving with revenue of nearly $1 billion per year. Earlier in her career, Ms. Holian served as Vice President of Corporate Marketing at Andover.Net, a Linux and Open Source technology portal, and held the positions of Vice President of Marketing at PersonalAudio, Inc. and Director of Worldwide Marketing at MicroTouch Systems Inc.
Ms. Holian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business from Westfield State University, and graduated from the Tuck Executive Program at Dartmouth College.
Chief Product Officer
Jordan Mendell serves as the Chief Product Officer for DraftKings. He oversees DraftKings’ product roadmap, product analytics and game operations.
Mr. Mendell was an early investor in the company and joined in an operational capacity several months after its inception.
Prior to joining DraftKings, Mendell founded digital radio ad insertion company, Ando Media. Between 2004 and 2008, the company added more than 7,000 terrestrial and Internet only stations to its list of clients.
Under Mendell’s technical direction, the company achieved substantial and sustained cash flow growth leading to a favorable exit for its founders and investors.
Chief International Officer
Jeffrey Haas is the Chief International Officer of DraftKings, a leading Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) destination that is the fastest-growing company in the industry since its launch in 2012. Haas oversees DraftKings’ business expansion into new markets outside the United States and manages the International operations team in the United Kingdom.
Haas is a business development veteran with more than twelve years’ experience opening markets for new gaming products around the world. Before joining DraftKings, he worked in the international gaming where he gained his extensive knowledge in international business development, commercial law, regulatory compliance, game design and public affairs efforts around the world. He led award-winning online and mobile product innovation teams for PokerStars and oversaw live gaming operations in more than 40 jurisdictions.
Haas previously managed the Discovery Channel’s Interactive Group in Canada and worked as an independent consultant for numerous technology, financial, media and gaming companies.
Haas resides in London, England with his wife and children.
