DraftKings Surpasses $1-Million Mark in Charitable Contributions

 “Pink ‘Em” Campaign in Partnership With Larry Fitzgerald Raises $119,000 for Breast Cancer

Boston (Oct. 31, 2019) –  DraftKings Inc. announced today successfully raising over $100K to support breast cancer awareness research and survivors in partnership with Larry Fitzgerald’s First Down Fund through the company’s first-ever “Pink ‘Em” charity daily fantasy sports (DFS) contests. Over the course of all four NFL weekends in October, the Pink ‘Em campaign received 624K player entries from which all profits were donated. 

“With over half a million entries into our Pink ’Em contests this month, it is evident our players not only understand the importance of giving back through social responsibility efforts, but also crave the ability to do so on our platform,” said Matt Kalish, chief revenue officer and co-founder of DraftKings. “We will continue to seek opportunities where our products can make a true impact in our communities.”

While Pink ‘Em represents DraftKings’ initial philanthropic initiative around breast cancer research, the company leverages its platform for many charitable efforts including the support of veterans’ education. Established in 2018, DraftKings’ Tech for Heroes program has committed over a million dollars toward aiding veterans and military spouses, and also hosted workforce readiness trainings across the country to teach high-demand tech skills. To date, Tech for Heroes has trained more than 150 veterans through tech classes in Austin, Boston, Columbus and San Francisco with new cities upcoming, including Hoboken and Las Vegas by the end of this year.

Market Access Deal Positions DraftKings for Rapid U.S. Sportsbook Expansion

BOSTON (July 31, 2019) – DraftKings Inc. today announced an extension of its market access partnership with Penn National Gaming, Inc., which will enable the company to offer its mobile and online Sportsbook product in additional U.S. states, subject to passage of applicable laws and the parties securing necessary gaming licenses.

The expansion builds upon the two companies’ earlier West Virginia market access deal, which was announced in December 2018. DraftKings’ additional market access is exclusive to Penn National Gaming across certain states in which Penn National Gaming operates casino properties.

DRAFTKINGS EXPANDS PARTNERSHIP WITH MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL TO BECOME AN AUTHORIZED GAMING OPERATOR

Collaboration will boost experiences for sports fans seeking live and in-game wagering

BOSTON (July 25, 2019) – DraftKings Inc. announced today a multi-year agreement to become an Authorized Gaming Operator of Major League Baseball (MLB). The expanded partnership will enhance DraftKings’ wagering offerings, especially live and in-game options as real-time betting becomes increasingly popular during sports and entertainment events, by granting the company rights to use official MLB data along with MLB marks and logos within DraftKings sports betting products.

DraftKings named “Official Daily Fantasy Game” of the PGA TOUR

“PGA TOUR DraftKings Fantasy Golf” becomes TOUR’s first daily fantasy sports partner

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FLORIDA, AND BOSTON – The PGA TOUR and DraftKings Inc. announced a new multi-year content and marketing relationship today that designates DraftKings as the first-ever “Official Daily Fantasy Game of the PGA TOUR.”

“We are excited to partner with DraftKings, an industry leader in innovation and fan engagement, in this groundbreaking step for the PGA TOUR,” said Luis Goicouria, PGA TOUR Senior Vice President Media. “The partnership with DraftKings provides the TOUR with a unique opportunity to innovate in a new industry and to further engage our fans.”

DraftKings will activate the partnership by branding its daily fantasy golf contests as “PGA TOUR DraftKings Fantasy Golf.” By playing these contests, fans will have the opportunity to win cash prizes as well as an array of PGA TOUR prizes in the future. The offerings include Classic contests where fans choose six players each week on the PGA TOUR for their fantasy team all while staying under the designated salary cap. Showdown contests are also available, which requires players to compile a team of six while staying under the designated salary cap for a single round of a tournament. Players have the option to compete with other PGA TOUR fans or in private, fully customizable contests with friends and colleagues. 

As part of the new relationship, PGA TOUR DraftKings Fantasy Golf players will have the ability to receive real-time video highlights for players in their respective lineups. Other elements of this partnership will create expanded Draft Fantasy Sports specific content offerings, as well as allow for brand integration into both the PGA TOUR and DraftKings platforms. Lastly, the PGA TOUR and DraftKings will collaborate on a variety of real-time product enhancements via the PGA TOUR’s proprietary ShotLink powered by CDW data feed.

DraftKings Opens Second State-Of-The-Art Office Less Than One Year After The Legalization Of Sports Betting

New Office Space to Drive Company Growth, Economic Development in New Jersey

Hoboken, N.J. (June 25, 2019) – DraftKings today unveiled its new, 7,500-square-foot office space in Hoboken, New Jersey which features state-of-the-art technology including; Dashboards, Zoom Rooms, and a television wall.  The space will serve more than 50 employees.

“The first year of legalized sports betting in New Jersey exceeded all of our expectations and projections,” said DraftKings COO and Co-Founder Paul Liberman. “The new office space will allow us to increase our presence in the Garden State and bring even more innovation and offerings to our customers here. DraftKings has seen a tremendous amount of success in New Jersey in the past year alone. The DraftKings Sportsbook app, which launched in the state last August, has taken in more than 17 million bets and paid out more than half a billion dollars in winnings. In addition to being the first-to-market mobile and online sportsbook in the state, DraftKings also opened a physical sportsbook at Resorts Casino & Hotel in Atlantic City.

DraftKings Hires New Chief Financial Officer

Jason Park Joins the Sports Technology and Entertainment Company from Bain Capital

BOSTON (June 24, 2019) – DraftKings Inc. announced today the hiring of new Chief Financial Officer Jason Park to help boost the company’s success, as more states in the U.S. begin to welcome sports betting and pass laws allowing for daily fantasy sports play. Park will also serve as a strategic advisor to CEO Jason Robins and senior management in navigating the operations that have helped DraftKings thrive since its founding in 2012. Tim Dent, who had been overseeing financial operations for the company since 2012 will transition fully into the role of Chief Compliance Officer.

“DraftKings has experienced exponential growth over the last year and we are excited to welcome someone of Jason’s caliber to the team,” said Robins. “Jason will step in and help accomplish our long-term financial goals. Park joins from Bain Capital Private Equity where he was an Operating Partner and focused on technology investments.  For more than 10 years, Park worked collaboratively with CEOs, CFOs, and management teams to develop and achieve growth plans.  Prior to Bain Capital, Jason spent eight years with McKinsey & Company.  Park holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a MAcc (Master of Accountancy) and a BBA from the University of Michigan.

Contests Live for the Opener Through Championship as Platform Expands to Reach Broader Audience

BOSTON, June 7, 2019 – For the first time ever, DraftKings will offer its innovative daily fantasy games for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, making women’s soccer the 13th DFS category for DraftKings, which continues to lead the pack in available sports among fantasy operators.

Fueling the DraftKings Women’s World Cup contests are the company’s data capabilities, which will source match and player information at every moment of play for fans to leverage in their daily fantasy selections. Customers can enjoy DraftKings Classic and Showdown modes for World Cup matches, constructing lineups of six players while staying within a $50,000 salary cap range and designating a “captain” slot that grants one player a bonus multiplier. Classic contests will require selecting players from more than one match, while Showdown contests must include players from each team in a single match.
